Visit Angus Augmented Reality App

Visit Angus has a new app for families to enjoy, which includes some extra magic – additional augmented reality features to discover whilst exploring Angus.

Working with the team at Angus Council we created their first app with 80 locations to visit, across eight trails featured within this free download.

The app includes an interactive trail map, audio, videos, 360° views, games and AR experiences, but you have to 'Visit Angus' to view them all.

To unlock the interactive experiences including Augmented Reality (AR), 360 views (and mini-games!) visitors must access these by being near each location with their mobile device.

Where these interactive features are geo-fenced the app user is alerted with a prompt to access content when they approach each location. We also built in some room for varying the distance to trigger content where locations were more remote.

This project was very much a partnership with Angus Council who it was a pleasure to work with on the app.

All aspects of the app were delivered on-time and within budget, in advance of the trail launch in Summer 2021.
