The Discover Rothesay app offers a series of self-guided walking and cycling trails to guide you through the islands unique blend of built heritage, breath-taking landscapes and stunning seascapes.

Read and listen to a series of locally curated stores about the islands past along the way, and visit special sites to unlock Augmented Reality (AR) views of the town in the past.

Challenge yourself to some family fun by spotting all 50 of our hidden Eye Spy locations.

Be inspired to get moving with our curated guide to time, distance, step count and calorie burn for each walk.

Hop on your bike (or hire one!) and enjoy the wider island landscape.

Cycling and walking trails have been designed to offer a series of options for different fitness, mobility and age levels – you decide what you want to tackle next! Or walk your own path, and explore some of the 40 plus locations how you decide.

This app was developed by Aerial Digital and produced by Argyll and Bute Council with support from local people and community groups, funded by Smarter Choices Smarter Places.

All aspects of the app were delivered on-time and within budget, in advance of the trail launch in Summer 2020.
